Explore a hacienda from the 1850s at the Rancho Guajome Adobe, and stroll through 13 acres of greenery and flowers at the Alta Vista Botanical Gardens. For some local history, you can check out the Vista Historical Society Museum and the Antique Gas and Steam Engine Museum. Beer enthusiasts will love Vista’s thriving microbrewery scene, while foodies will find restaurants to satisfy every palate. A trip to the historic streets of Downtown Escondido takes about 15 minutes, as does a drive to Pacific shores and the sandy beaches of Carlsbad.
